Putting Money on an Inmate's Account at Berks County Jail: What to Know About the 50% Deduction

You can add money online through ConnectNetwork. When you set it up, make sure you select Berks County using Site ID #61 - that’s how the deposit gets routed to the right facility and account.
Prefer to handle it by phone? Call 1-888-988-4768 to make a deposit. You'll need Site ID #61 for Berks County, same as the online option.
You'll get a receipt after completing your deposit. Funds post to the inmate's account the next business day (excluding holidays) - so don't worry if it doesn't show up immediately.
Important: The jail deducts 50% of all incoming deposits toward the inmate's processing fee or past cost recovery. Only half of what you send may be available for commissary right away.
The maximum deposit per transaction is $300.00. Need to send more? You'll have to split it into separate transactions.
Mailing funds instead? Berks County Jail accepts government checks, payroll checks (include the pay stub), and money orders. Send these directly to the inmate accounts department.
