How to Pick Up Property or Evidence from Forsyth County Sheriff's Office (including firearms)

Forsyth County Property & Evidence is located at 2314 Keith Bridge Road, Suite B, Cumming, GA 30040.

To schedule a firearm pickup appointment, call 678.513.5895. For general questions about property release or to set up other appointments, email evidence@forsythco.com.

The Property & Evidence room is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Friday hours are shorter: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

• ✓ Schedule an appointment before you go. Appointments are recommended due to the high volume of property being released.
• ✓ Give at least 24 hours’ notice when you can. Forsyth County says 24-hour notice is preferred.
• ✓ Bring a valid government-issued ID. It is required for all appointments.

2. Do not show up without an appointment. Appointments are recommended, so schedule before you arrive (and try to build in time to book ahead).

Picking up a firearm requires a Criminal History Report, which staff will pull on-site. You'll need to provide your full legal name, a valid government ID, date of birth, Social Security number, and citizenship status.

• ✓ In your email, include your name, your contact information, your case number, and a description of the item(s) you are trying to pick up.
• ✓ If your pickup involves a firearm, be prepared to provide the information needed for the Criminal History Report (full legal name, valid government ID, date of birth, Social Security number, citizenship status).
• ✓ Bring a valid government-issued ID to your appointment.

Give at least 24 hours' notice when requesting an appointment. Scheduling ahead is recommended for all property pickups, so don't plan on walking in and picking things up on the spot.
