How to Schedule a Video Visit (Tablet or Remote Kiosk) with Someone at Goodman Unit
Video visits at Goodman Unit work through two separate systems. Figure out whether you need a tablet visit or a remote kiosk visit first—the scheduling process is different for each.

Note: Remote (kiosk) video visits may be available once per month for up to 60 minutes for eligible inmates.
- Start your account in the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler - you’ll create your own login to schedule a Video/Tablet visit.
- Submit a valid email address - after you submit it, the system sends you an email.
- Use the 7-digit validation code - the email includes a 7-digit validation code and a registration link.
- Finish registration through that link - once your account setup is complete, you can move on to adding the inmate and requesting approval.
Warning: You have to create your own scheduler account - TDCJ staff can’t create visitor accounts for you.
Once you're logged into the scheduler, add the inmate to your profile using their TDCJ/SID number. Enter it exactly as an 8-digit number - this matters when searching and submitting. You'll choose your relationship and submit a relationship request, which goes to the inmate's unit for TDCJ staff to verify. When you see visit type options, select Video/Tablet for a tablet visit. Remember, this is separate from the Securus Video program.

Can't find Video/Tablet as an option? Or the time slot you want isn't showing up? Availability depends on several behind-the-scenes factors: whether your relationship request has been verified, the unit's visitation setup, and the inmate's current visitation privileges. One more thing - unit visitation schedules on the TDCJ website change frequently. They're updated once daily on weekdays and multiple times per day on visitation days. Call the unit to confirm before making the trip.
