Política de propiedad de Henderson County Detention y lo que los reclusos pueden conservar
Property rules can be one of the most frustrating parts of jail, especially when you're trying to help quickly. Here's what Henderson County Detention Center allows, what they issue at intake, and what happens to anything considered extra.
Henderson County Detention Center does not accept property from outside sources. If your loved one needs personal items while they are housed there, those items have to be purchased through the comisariato (commissary).
At intake, each inmate receives 1 inmate uniform. This is part of what the facility provides right away, no family drop-off required.
They also get basic bedding: 1 mattress, 2 sheets, and 1 blanket.
Each inmate receives 1 body towel. They also get a three-day hygiene pack with 1 toothbrush, 1 small bar of soap, and 1 small tube of toothpaste to cover the first few days.
Inmates may have one Bible.
Inmates may also have one watch, as long as it's worth no more than $50. Keep that value limit in mind if you're thinking about sending or replacing one.
Personal hygiene items are allowed only if they're institutionally approved. In practice, this means inmates need to purchase hygiene items through commissary rather than receiving outside drop-offs.
Photo limit: Inmates are permitted up to five photos in their possession (no pornographic or photocopied material). Any photos over the limit must be mailed home.
Need to get legal material to someone inside? Henderson County Detention Center only accepts legal material through the mail. They won't take it through the bonding window.
For non-legal inmate mail, address the envelope like this: HENDERSON COUNTY KY DETENTION CENTER INMATE NAME INMATE BOOKING # PO BOX 247 Phoenix, MD 21131
