Video visits can feel confusing the first time, especially during a system change. Here's how Securus Video Connect works for CDCR, what you'll need ahead of time, and the simplest way to get set up.

Prepare Devices Funding

  • ✓ Register for a Securus account in the Securus app or on the Securus website.
  • ✓ In the app, go to Video Connect and enable video visits by selecting the option to allow video calls.
  • ✓ Use a device that can run the free Securus app (or use a computer or tablet) and make sure you have reliable internet access.
  • ✓ If you plan to receive video calls, set up AdvanceConnect in the Securus app and add funds for prepaid video calls.

Since Video Connect runs in a browser, your setup matters. Use the free Securus app or sign in from a computer or tablet. Test your device and internet connection before your scheduled visit.
