Miami County Jail

Miami County Jail requires appointments for all visits. Hours run Monday through Sunday, 8:00 AM–8:30 PM—including holidays. Video visitation goes through ICSolutions, so you'll need to create an account, get approved, and provide a valid government-issued photo ID before scheduling. Off-site visits require a computer or smartphone/tablet with high-speed internet and a webcam. Fees and cancellation rules are set by ICSolutions. On-site video visits happen at the Miami County Incarceration Facility (2042 N CR 25A, Troy) and are free for both visitors and inmates. Plan to arrive about ten minutes early. You can bring up to four visitors, and inmates generally get one 30-minute visit per week—though inmate workers may receive up to one hour. All video visits are recorded and may be monitored. The jail can suspend or deny visitation privileges at any time.

Inmates at Miami County Jail can make outgoing phone calls after they're booked in. Phone system rules are posted in each housing unit. Miami County Jail routes incoming non-legal mail through the ICSolutions Digital Mail Center. Compliant items get scanned and delivered digitally to the inmate's tablet or a kiosk—no paper mail is handed over. Personal mail addressed directly to the jail won't be accepted, and incorrectly addressed items may be returned. Photos and drawings can be sent for scanning if they meet size and format rules. Paper larger than 8.5 x 11 inches and any non-paper items won't be accepted. Packages, certified mail, checks, money orders, and publications are returned to sender. Miami County Jail accepts deposits through three approved methods: the commissary kiosk in the jail lobby, the AccessCorrections website or mobile app, or the 24/7 phone line at 866-345-1884. Don't send money through the mail or try to hand cash to jail staff—those payments won't be accepted. Checks and money orders are also rejected and will be returned.
