Piedmont Correctional

Piedmont Correctional permits both in-person and video visits under NCDAC rules, giving you flexibility in how you connect. All in-person visits require an appointment, so call the facility to set a date and time. Each incarcerated person can have up to 18 approved visitors on their list, but visits are typically limited to three approved visitors at a time, once per week, for up to two hours. Visitors 16 and older may be pat-searched, and electronic devices can be inspected. Cell phones are contraband and cannot be brought inside. Some individuals, including those in segregation or with certain STG validations, may be restricted to non-contact visits only.

Staying in touch with someone at Piedmont Correctional usually starts with video visitation. Video visits run through the Getting Out Visits app, and you must be on the incarcerated person's approved visitors list before you can connect. Depending on availability, you can schedule visits ahead of time or start them on demand through the app. In-person visitation is also available, but it's by appointment only. Contact the facility to schedule before you travel. Phone, video, and messaging services are managed through third-party vendors, so you'll need to create an account in the vendor's app or portal to handle approvals, services, and funding. Add funds before using any paid features.

Piedmont Correctional uses NCDAC's vendor ViaPath (TouchPay/ConnectNetwork) for trust and commissary deposits. You can deposit online, through the mobile app, by phone, via Western Union cash deposit, or by mailing a money order. Only approved visitors can make deposits. To mail a money order, make it payable to TouchPay, include the required deposit slip, and send it to TouchPay Holdings, PO Box 174, Houston, TX 77001-0174. Mailed money orders have no fee but typically take up to ten business days to post (sometimes sooner). For issues, call ViaPath at 877-650-4249.
