Pinellas County Jail

Pinellas County Jail handles video visitation (both remote and kiosk) and messaging through Smart Communications. You'll need to create a Smart Communications account to schedule visits or send messages and photos. Remote video visits last 30 minutes and start on the hour and half-hour. Schedule at least 24 hours ahead, up to seven days in advance. Sessions are available daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Each inmate gets four free 30-minute remote or on-demand video visits per week. Additional time costs $0.16 per minute. Attorney visits work differently: in-person attorney visits run Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Out-of-state attorneys or after-hours visits need advance approval through pcj_visitationrequests@pcsonet.com.

Pinellas County Jail does not allow inmates to receive incoming phone calls, so your loved one will need to call you. Outgoing calls use credits purchased through Smart Communications. You can add funds at www.smartinmate.com so the inmate can place calls. The jail also offers electronic messaging through SmartInmate, including near real-time text and photo messages. When someone is booked into Pinellas County Jail with cash, that money is typically credited to their personal account. Foreign or contaminated currency goes into personal property instead. Most non-federal inmates are assessed a $20.00 non-refundable subsistence fee (with specified exceptions). For bond, you have several options. Online, you can pay through AllPaid (up to $2,500 per charge plus a non-refundable service fee) or use credit or debit via GovPayNow or AllPaid. By phone, call 1-877-EZBAIL5. Bank checks, traveler's checks, and money orders must be payable to the Clerk of the Circuit Court. Personal checks are not accepted. To add money to an inmate's account, the jail accepts money orders (include the inmate's full name, docket number, and housing assignment) Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Cash kiosks and online deposits through ConnectNetwork are also available.
