What Happens During a Drug Dog Search at Souza-Baranowski

Souza-Baranowski uses passive drug-detecting dogs as part of the entrance process. You won't see one every visit - canine searches happen at random intervals to catch illegal drugs before they make it inside.

If a drug-detection dog alerts to you, staff will have you step out of line. You’ll then be asked to consent to a search by correctional staff before you can continue with the entry process.

If you refuse the search: You won’t be allowed to visit, and you’ll be required to leave the facility.
