How to Set Up Video Visits with Someone at Wasco State Prison

1. Open Securus on web or mobile - Use the Securus website or download/open the Securus mobile app.
2. Choose “Sign Up” (create an account) - Start a new account using your email address and basic contact information.
3. Verify your contact info - Follow the prompts to confirm your email and/or phone number.
4. Log in and confirm you can access your account - Once you’re signed in, you’re ready to enable Video Connect and set up funding if needed.

1. Open the Securus app and find “Video Connect” - This is the feature used for video sessions.
2. Register for Video Connect - Complete the registration inside Video Connect.
3. Select “Permitir videollamadas” (Allow video calls) - This opt-in step is what enables you to receive video calls.

Planning to receive prepaid video calls? You'll want to set up AdvanceConnect in the Securus app. This is where you add funds for prepaid video sessions, so your account is ready when video calling becomes available at Wasco State Prison.

1. Log in to your Securus account - Use the same account you created on the website or in the app.
2. Tap “AdvanceConnect” in the app - This is the section used to set up prepaid funding.
3. Set up your AdvanceConnect account - Follow the prompts to complete setup.
4. Add funds for prepaid video calls - Choose an amount, enter your payment details, and confirm the transaction.

Securus Video Connect is web-based, so you can join from anywhere with internet access. Use the free Securus app, or connect through a computer or tablet. Whatever device you choose, make sure it has a working microphone and camera - you'll need both to participate.

Once Video Connect becomes available for your loved one, you'll be able to schedule and join video sessions from your phone, tablet, or computer. If you've already created your Securus account, enabled Video Connect, and funded AdvanceConnect, you'll be ready to book a session as soon as scheduling opens.
