How to Leave a Message for Someone at Adelanto Detention Center

Adelanto Detention Center has a public phone line for detainee information at (760) 561-6100. The line is available daily from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., including weekends and holidays.

To leave a non-urgent message, call that same number with the detainee's full name, their alien registration number (A-number), and a phone number where you can be reached. Staff will use these details to match your message to the right person.

How to Leave a Message for Someone at Adelanto Detention Center
  1. Give the detainee’s full name - include first and last name, and don’t skip hyphenated names.
  2. Share any other name details that help identify them - if they use aliases, have those ready, along with date of birth and country of birth.
  3. Provide the A-number (alien registration number) - if you have it, this helps staff locate the correct person.
  4. Leave your callback phone number - include a telephone number where you can be reached.

Note: Have biographical details ready before you call - first and last name (including hyphenated names), any aliases, date of birth, and country of birth.

For urgent messages, call the same line: (760) 561-6100. Provide the detainee's full name and A-number, plus your name and a callback number so they can reach you once they get the message.

Tip: If your message is urgent, say that clearly when you call, and make sure you leave your name and callback number.

Once you leave your message, staff will pass it along to the detainee. Detainees can't receive incoming calls, so this message line is the only way to reach them by phone.

Detainees at Adelanto cannot receive incoming calls directly - that's why the facility uses this call-in message system. You can still pass along information, even though you can't be connected to them live.
