Alexander Correctional offers both in-person and video visits. All visits are by appointment, so call the facility the day before to confirm visitation status. You must be on the offender's approved visitor list: the offender gets blank visitor application forms from the facility, you complete the form, and staff must approve it before you can visit. If you're 16 or older, attach a copy of an approved photo ID. Under 16? Attach a birth certificate instead. Under normal circumstances, the offender gets one visit per week, up to two hours, with up to three visitors per session (warden discretion applies). Some people, such as those in administrative or disciplinary segregation, are limited to non-contact visits. Expect pat/frisk searches, electronic device checks, and metal detector screening. Leave your cell phone behind since it's considered contraband.

Video visits at Alexander Correctional Inst are handled through the GettingOut Visits platform. Sessions happen on the incarcerated person's tablet or at a facility kiosk. If the facility has availability, the GettingOut app's "Visit Now" feature lets you start a visit without scheduling ahead. Billing is based on the actual length of the visit, and GettingOut does not charge upfront or connection fees. To use video visits and other services, you'll create an account with the facility's approved communications vendor and manage everything through its app or web portal (including video, phone, and messaging). You may also need to add funds in the vendor portal so paid features work and the incarcerated person can accept paid services.

Alexander Correctional Inst uses ViaPath and its ConnectNetwork services for money deposits. You can send funds online, by phone, on mobile, or through walk-in locations in the vendor network. Online deposits are available at ConnectNetwork.com with a credit or debit card, and you can reuse an existing ConnectNetwork login. Phone deposit options include AdvancePay and Trust/PIN Debit. ViaPath has a toll-free assistance line if you run into deposit issues. For cash deposits through Western Union, use payment code NCDAC TRUST. Mailing a money order? Make it payable to TouchPay, include the deposit slip, and send it to TouchPay Holdings, PO Box 174, Houston, TX 77001-0174. Mailed funds post within 10 business days. Only approved visitors may deposit funds, and vendor fees apply. Some vendor accounts can become inactive after 180 days and may be subject to forfeiture.
