New Mail Rules at Alexandria Detention Center and a Complete Mailing Checklist
Mail rules at the Alexandria Adult Detention Center changed on June 24, 2024. Here's where to send personal mail now, what still goes directly to the facility, and a quick checklist to use before you mail anything.
Starting June 24, 2024, the Alexandria Adult Detention Center no longer accepts personal mail at the facility. Personal mail - postcards, letters, greeting cards - now goes through Smart Communications, which scans it and delivers it to inmates electronically.
