How to Register for Visitation at Allendale Online (effective June 1, 2025)

Starting June 1, 2025, adults 18 and older with a valid South Carolina driver's license can register for visitation online.

Paper Exceptions

• ✓ Any minor child (paper application required, plus documentation to verify the relationship)
• ✓ Any adult without an ID/driver’s license who uses a passport or U.S. visa
• ✓ Any adult with an out-of-state driver’s license
• ✓ Any adult who doesn’t have computer access or expects technical difficulty using a computer

Registering a minor? You'll need to use the paper process. SCDC requires paper applications for all minors, along with documentation verifying the child's relationship to the incarcerated person.

1. Go to the SCDC GTL VisitMe portal - Use scdoc.gtlvisitme.com to get started.
2. Create your account - Register your visitor profile so you can use the system.
3. Sign in - Once your account is set up, log in whenever you need to.
4. Schedule your visit - Pick an available date/time and submit your request.
5. Manage visits in one place - Use the portal to view and manage upcoming in-person and virtual visits.

When setting up your account, enter your name exactly as it appears on the approved visitation list - no nicknames. The online registration option is available to adults 18+ with a valid South Carolina driver's license.

Need to submit a paper application? This applies if the visitor is a minor, you have an out-of-state license, you're using a passport or visa, or you don't have computer access. Mail your application to: Division of Visitation and I/M DT, P.O. Box 212969, Columbia, S.C., 29221-2969.
