Schedule your visit online through the jail's visitation scheduler, then arrive early to check in. Anyone 16 or older needs a valid government-issued photo ID - and the info on that ID must match what you entered when scheduling. Visits are short: 20 minutes each, two per week per inmate, with a maximum of three visitors at a time.

Head to scheduler.tarmactech.com on any computer, tablet, or smartphone. Select the inmate you want to visit, pick an available date and time, enter your information, and confirm. Double-check your spelling and numbers - your ID has to match exactly what you submit.

Note: If you don’t have a device or internet access, there’s a tablet available in the jail lobby you can use to access the scheduling website.

Anyone 16 or older must present a valid government-issued photo ID - driver license, state ID, or passport. Staff will check that your ID matches the information you entered online, so use your legal name and current details when scheduling.

Anderson County Jail allows up to three visitors at a time, and you must be on the inmate's approved visitation list. Bringing kids? Minors under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult who's on the approved list. Kids 15 and younger don't have to be on the list themselves, but they still need that approved adult with them.

Arrive early. You must check in 20 minutes before your scheduled visit - show up late and you'll be turned away. Build in extra time for parking so you're not rushing at the door.

Each visit lasts 20 minutes, and inmates get two visits per week. The jail doesn't allow "splitting" a visit - you can't divide your 20 minutes or rotate visitors in and out. If multiple people are coming (up to three), decide beforehand who's staying for the full session.

Warning: If you exit the visitation area, the visit is terminated and there is no reentry. Only step out if you’re prepared to end the visit.

Bringing a minor? Two rules matter: supervision and the approved list. Kids under 16 must be with an adult who's on the approved visitation list. Children 15 and younger don't need to be on the list themselves, but they still must have that approved adult with them.

One scheduling note: inmates who are 17 have separate visitation times. If you're visiting a 17-year-old, call ahead to confirm the actual schedule before booking.

Pack light. The jail requires you to leave all personal items in your vehicle during the visit. Cameras, cellphones, handbags, and baby carriers aren't allowed in the visitation area. Bring them to the door and you'll have to go back to your car before continuing.

The dress code is strict. Skip revealing or see-through clothing, sleeveless tops (shoulders must be covered), spandex, tights, leggings, and shorts or skirts more than 3 inches above the knee. Pants or jeans with multiple tears, rips, or holes aren't allowed, and neither is clothing with obscene or offensive language, images, or gang-related symbols. Leave hats, baseball caps, hoodies, do-rags, and bandanas at home. Coats, jackets, and sweaters aren't permitted in public areas either.
