Plan Your Visit to Anson Correctional: Call Ahead, Frequency, Duration, and Visitor Limits

Call Anson Correctional the day before your planned visit to confirm visitation status. Schedules change. Availability shifts. One quick call can save you from driving out only to find visits are paused or rescheduled. If you don't have the right phone number, check the official NCDAC prison directory or the facility listing for current contact information.

Under normal circumstances, the person you're visiting can have one visiting session per week. Coordinate with other family members ahead of time - if two people plan separate visits the same week, only one will actually happen.

Each session is capped at two hours. Even if you arrive early and check-in goes smoothly, plan your day around that maximum. The visit will end at the two-hour mark regardless.

Anson Correctional allows up to three approved visitors per session. If more than three people want to visit, you'll need to take turns - rotate who attends from week to week.

There's also a cap on total approved visitors: an offender can have up to 18 people on their approved list. If your family is large, keep track of who has already applied so you don't submit applications beyond the maximum.
