Video Visits at Anson Correctional: In-Person Kiosks vs. Home Visits

Anson Correctional Facility (NCDAC) offers two ways to visit: traditional in-person visits or video visits. For video, your loved one can connect using their electronic tablet or from a video kiosk inside the facility. The choice comes down to whether you want an on-site kiosk visit or a remote video visit from home.

Either way, eligibility rules are the same: you must be on the incarcerated person's approved visitors list. The system won't treat video visits as casual phone calls - if you're not approved, you can't connect.

Schedule or start video visits through the Getting Out Visits app. Download it, create your account, and follow the prompts to connect with your incarcerated loved one. From there, you can start a video visit immediately or book one for later.

The app offers two connection options: on-demand visits (when available) or scheduled visits for a specific date and time. If you're juggling work, school pickup, or a time difference, scheduling ahead usually works better.

For home video visits, you'll need a computer with internet access, a webcam, a microphone, and an up-to-date browser. If any piece is missing or blocked by your settings, the visit may not connect properly.
