Sending money by JPay money order is straightforward once you know Florida's deposit rules. Follow these instructions to avoid delays, rejected payments, or a lost money order.

To send money to someone at Appalachee Correctional Institution by money order through JPay, you must be on their Approved Visitors List. If you're not approved, your deposit can be rejected or delayed. Confirm your approval status before buying a money order.

Each JPay money order has a maximum amount of $999.99. Need to send more? Use multiple money orders rather than trying to exceed the limit on a single payment.

Fill out the deposit coupon completely. JPay's paperwork is machine-processed, and missing fields slow things down while staff figure out where the payment belongs.

Include a copy of your ID with the money order deposit. JPay accepts a driver's license, state identification card, or passport. Leave it out and your deposit may be returned instead of posted to the inmate's account.

Note: Do not include letters or notes with your payment. They will be discarded.

Once JPay receives your money order, approved deposits are processed within ten (10) business days. Mail time is separate. If you're working against a deadline, build in extra days for delivery before those ten business days even start.

Questions about the form? Call JPay at 800-574-5729 for assistance.

Double-check the mailing address before sending. One JPay money order form lists: JPay, PO Box 260010, Hollywood, FL 33026, but other versions show different PO boxes. Verify the current address on your specific deposit form or by calling JPay so your payment doesn't end up in the wrong place.
