What Can You Bring Into the Visiting Room at Appalachee Correctional Institution: A Complete Checklist
You can bring up to $50.00 in cash per visitor for the vending machines in the visiting area. Stick to $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills only. Other denominations won't be allowed.
Note: This money is for vending machines in the visiting area only. You cannot give cash to an inmate, and anything you buy must be consumed before you leave the visiting room.
Need prescription medication during your visit? Bring only what you'll need for the time you're there. Keep it in the original container with a readable label showing the medication type, dosage, and your name.
Infant-toddler-items
- ✓ No more than five (5) diapers
- ✓ Up to three (3) clear baby bottles
- ✓ Up to two (2) toddler sipper cups
- ✓ Up to three (3) clear plastic jars of sealed (unopened) baby food
Warning: Staff cannot hold or store items for you. Only bring what's allowed inside, or leave extra belongings secured elsewhere before you arrive.

- If you are visiting with an infant or toddler, count and package items carefully: No more than five diapers, up to three clear baby bottles, up to two toddler sipper cups, and up to three clear plastic jars of sealed (unopened) baby food.
- Do a final check before you leave your car: Staff cannot hold or store items for you, so remove anything you are not authorized to bring in before you go to check-in.
