Scheduling Your First Visit at Arrendale: Approval, Requests, and Cutoff Deadlines
Scheduling your first visit at Arrendale is a two-step process: get approved, then request an appointment. Here's how to handle the request steps and cutoff deadlines—especially important if you're planning a weekend or holiday visit.
Before you can schedule anything, you need to become an approved visitor. Start by filling out the Georgia Department of Corrections Visitation Request Form completely, then submit it to Arrendale. Once approved, you can request an actual visit time.
Once you're approved, request your visit through the GDC scheduled-visit form. This is what actually puts you in line for a specific appointment. Planning to visit on a particular weekend or around a holiday? Submit your request early to meet the cutoff deadlines.
Arrendale visits are by appointment only. You can't show up and expect to be worked in - you need a scheduled visit set up ahead of time through the request process.
Cutoff Times
- ✓ Weekend visits: request cutoff is 5:00 PM on Wednesday of the same week.
- ✓ State holiday visits: request cutoff is 5:00 PM, three days before the holiday.
Plans change. If you need to modify an existing appointment, GDC provides tools for that. To add people to a visit you've already scheduled, use the
