Before Your First Visit to Arrowhead: What to Bring, What’s Prohibited, and Vending Card Changes

Bring the same valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID you used for the visiting application. The address on that ID needs to match the address on your application - if it doesn’t, the application may be denied, and that can stop a visit before it starts.

You'll register when you arrive. All visitors must complete AR Form 300-01B (Offender Visitor Consent to Search Authorization) at entry. Once filled out, it stays on file for one year - you won't need to complete a new one until then.

The dress code applies to every visit type - contact visits, in-person non-contact visits, and video visits. You must be fully dressed according to CDOC's visitation dress code.

  • Solid gray clothing
  • Solid green clothing
  • Solid orange clothing
  • Solid white clothing
  • Solid yellow clothing
  • Camouflage
  • Anything that resembles offender attire
  • Clothing with adornments that could be used as a weapon

Leave portable electronics at home or locked in your car. Cell phones, tablets (like iPads), smart glasses, pagers, and portable computers aren't allowed - unless specifically authorized by the DOC's executive director.

No cigarettes or tobacco-related items allowed on the property. CDOC rules prohibit tobacco products, tobacco substitutes, vaping products, e-cigarettes, and vaping liquid for visitors.

Warning: Bringing contraband - or even attempting to - can get your in-person and contact visitation privileges permanently suspended. Rule or behavioral violations can also end your visit on the spot, with possible suspensions of 30 days (first offense), 90 days (second), and one year (third) after review.

Arrowhead switched its visiting room vending machines from canteen cards to debit/credit cards as part of the Canon Minimum Centers change. Since Dec. 9, 2022, you can bring one debit or credit card to use at the vending machines.

Before Your First Visit to Arrowhead: What to Bring, What’s Prohibited, and Vending Card Changes
  1. Empty your pockets before you leave home - don’t bring portable electronics like phones, tablets, smart glasses, pagers, or portable computers unless they’re authorized.
  2. Do a quick car check before you park - make sure cigarettes, tobacco, vapes, e-cigarettes, and vape liquid are left behind.
  3. Bring only what you can legally carry inside - if you’re unsure about an item, keep it out of your bag and out of your pockets.

When you arrive, you'll register by completing AR Form 300-01B - the consent-to-search authorization that stays active for a year. If any rule or behavior issues come up during your visit, staff can end it immediately. After review, violations can lead to suspensions: 30 days for a first offense, 90 days for a second, and one year for a third.
