Sending Money to Someone at Arrowhead: Approved Vendors, Mail Rules, and EFT Restrictions
Sending money to someone at Arrowhead? The method matters. Colorado DOC only accepts deposits through a few approved electronic vendors—mailed cash and money orders won't work.
Colorado DOC partners with three vendors for electronic deposits: JPay, Western Union, and GTL (ConnectNetwork). Use one of these to make sure your money posts correctly. Unapproved services won't go through.
Don't mail cash or money orders. Colorado DOC rejects both, and tracking down a returned payment is a hassle you don't need. Stick with the approved electronic vendors.
If something doesn’t look right with the account - like a deposit you can’t find, a question about posting, or a general account issue - call the Inmate Bank at (719) 269-4271.
Colorado DOC has strict rules about electronic transfers between incarcerated people. Offenders cannot send, receive, or solicit EFTs with other offenders - or with relatives and visitors of other offenders in DOC custody. There's one narrow exception: if two inmates share immediate family members, they can apply for an exception through the Custody/Control manager at their facilities.
Expect service fees on electronic deposits. GTL's ConnectNetwork charges vary by deposit amount. These deposits are processed by TouchPay Holdings, LLC (doing business as GTL Financial Services).
