Setting Up Video Visits for Someone at Arrowhead: What You Need to Know About Securus
Video visits at Arrowhead Correctional Center are available, but a couple of setup steps trip people up—especially approvals and scheduling. Here's how it works with Securus, and what to do first so your visit doesn't get denied or cut short.
Yes. ACC offers video visits seven days a week. It's one of the main ways to stay connected - alongside pre-approved special visits - so it's a normal part of the process, not a rare exception.
The catch: all ACC visits are by appointment only, and you need to schedule at least a week in advance. If you're hoping to visit sooner, that one-week-out rule is the baseline.
Before scheduling anything through Securus, complete the visiting application. ACC requires this before you can use video visitation - skip it, and you won't be able to move forward.
Think about who will be on camera. Every person appearing during a video visit must be on the incarcerated person's approved visiting list. If someone unapproved shows up on screen, the visit can be terminated and visiting privileges suspended. Be strict about this - especially with kids, partners, or friends who might wander into the room.
Watch these two deal-breakers: Your visiting application needs a copy of a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID. The address on that ID must match your application - or it may be denied. Separately, introducing or attempting to introduce contraband can lead to permanent suspension of visitation at ACC.
ACC uses Securus Video Connect for video visits. Once you're approved, set up your account and schedule visits through the Securus website.
- Complete the visiting application - You need an approved visiting application before you can use video visitation at ACC.
- Create your Securus account - Set your account up through Securus (ACC uses Securus Video Connect for scheduling).
- Schedule your appointment ahead of time - ACC visits are appointment-only and must be scheduled a week in advance, so don’t wait until the last minute.

- ✓ Everyone who will appear on camera is already approved on the incarcerated person’s visiting list
- ✓ Your visiting application included a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID
- ✓ The address on your photo ID matches the address on your visiting application
Avoid avoidable suspensions: If an unapproved person appears during your video visit, ACC can end the call and suspend visiting privileges. Introducing or attempting to introduce contraband can result in permanent suspension.
Since ACC visits are booked a week out, treat your time slot like an actual appointment. Be ready to start on time. If you're using a computer or phone, test your setup beforehand so you don't waste visit time troubleshooting.
