Sending Food Packages to Bainbridge (Union Supply): What to Order, How to Place It, and the Rules

Yes. The Georgia Department of Corrections allows Union Supply to deliver food packages to people housed at State Prisons, Integrated Treatment Facilities (ITFs), and Probation Detention Centers - including Bainbridge as an ITF. If you're an approved family member or friend, you can place an order through Union Supply using one of several ordering methods.

Start with the official Georgia Inmate Package order form. You can download it from the Georgia Inmate Package website. This form shows every item the Georgia Department of Corrections has pre-approved - if something isn't listed, don't assume it will be accepted. Stick to the approved list when deciding what to send.

To order by mail, send your order to: Union Supply, 2500 Regent Blvd Dept. 421, P.O. Box 619059, Dallas, TX 75261-9059. Mail works fine if you prefer paper forms - just build in extra time so your order arrives before the deadline.

To order by phone, call 1-562-361-5719. There's also a toll-free line: 1-855-247-0563. Phone orders are a good choice when you want to skip mailing delays.

You can also fax your order to 1-310-603-1188. Make sure the information matches the official form so it processes without issues.

Online ordering is available too. The same rule applies: use the Georgia Inmate Package order form as your guide. Everything on that form has been pre-approved by GDC, so you won't be guessing about what's allowed.

Because Bainbridge is an Integrated Treatment Facility, it follows GDC's State Prison/ITF package limits: $100 per offender or 15 lbs. per package - whichever you hit first. A heavier order might cap out before reaching $100, while a lighter order could hit the dollar limit first.

Probation Detention Centers have different caps: $50 per offender or 7 lbs. per package, whichever comes first. If your loved one transfers between facility types, double-check which limit applies before placing your next order.

Here's something that catches people off guard: multiple orders for the same offender get consolidated into one package. That single package still can't exceed the spending or weight limits - two smaller orders don't stack into a bigger allowance.

Watch the deadlines. Orders received after the cutoff won't be accepted, even if you placed the order earlier but it arrived late. If you're mailing, give yourself extra time.

Every Union Supply order includes a $2.95 shipping and handling charge. That fee is non-refundable, so factor it into your total cost.
