How to Send a Food Package to Someone in Baldwin County Using Union Supply
If your loved one is in a Georgia Department of Corrections facility that uses Union Supply, you can send them approved food packages. Here's how the program works, including ordering options and limits.
The GDC food package program covers state prisons, Integrated Treatment Facilities (ITFs), and probation detention centers. If your loved one is housed at a participating GDC location, Union Supply is the approved vendor for food package orders.
You have four ways to place an order: online, by mail, by phone, or by fax. For phone orders, call 1-855-725-7237. Fax orders go to 1-888-857-6219. Mailing in? Send your completed order form to Union Supply Group, LLC, Dept 851, P.O. Box 238, Winterville, NC 28590. Online ordering is available through Union Supply's GDC ordering site.
Spending and weight limits depend on the facility type. State prisons, ITFs, and probation detention centers allow up to $100 per order with a 15-pound weight limit. Transitional centers and residential substance abuse treatment centers have a lower cap: $50 per order and 7 pounds maximum.
Place multiple orders in the same month? Union Supply consolidates them into one package. Every order includes a $2.95 shipping and handling fee, which is non-refundable.
Not every GDC facility uses Union Supply - some locations use alternative vendors like Riverbend. Confirm the correct vendor for your loved one's facility before placing an order.
GDC offers downloadable PDF resources about the food package program. Check these before ordering to verify current rules and requirements.
