Common Mistakes

• ✓ Missing inmate number - without it, the mail can’t be matched to the right person.
• ✓ Using initials for the inmate or sender - complete first and last names are required.
• ✓ Abbreviating the correctional institution name - the full name must be written out.
• ✓ Incomplete return address - a complete return address is required on every envelope.

If any required information is missing - whether it's your details or the inmate's - the envelope gets rejected and discarded unopened. No exceptions. Double-check the outside of the envelope before you seal it.
