How to Contact an Inmate at Facility

If your loved one is calling you, you can receive free telephone calls without setting up a Securus account. An account is only required once videoconferences and electronic messages become available at the facility. If those options exist for the person you're trying to reach, you'll need to create a Securus account to use them.

Prepaid video calls are set up through the Securus app. Use the AdvanceConnect option to create your account and add funds for videoconferencing. Once that's done, you'll be ready to receive prepaid video calls when the facility makes videoconferencing available.

Steps to Follow

• ✓ Confirm whether this facility currently offers videoconferencing and electronic messaging for the person you want to contact.
• ✓ If you are only receiving free telephone calls, you do not need an online Securus account.
• ✓ If videoconferencing or electronic messaging is available, create a Securus account.
• ✓ For prepaid video calls, open the Securus app, choose AdvanceConnect, then set up your account and add funds for videoconferencing.

The most important thing to confirm is which communication options are actually available at the facility right now.
