Three Ways to Put Money on an Inmate's Account at Bay County Jail
Want to send money to someone at Bay County Jail? You have three options: mail a money order, use the lobby kiosk, or deposit online through TouchPay. Here's how each method works—and what you'll need to avoid delays.
Money orders are the simplest option. Mail one to the facility, and the funds get credited to the inmate's account. This works well if you want to skip card-processing fees or prefer having a paper trail.
- ✓ Make the money order payable to the inmate
- ✓ Write the inmate’s name on the money order
- ✓ Include the inmate’s control identification number on the money order
- ✓ Include the purchaser’s name on the money order
- ✓ Include the purchaser’s address on the money order
Bay County Jail has a TouchPay kiosk in the lobby for in-person deposits. It accepts credit cards, debit cards, and cash - though a service fee applies. One thing to know: there are no refunds from the kiosk. Double-check that you're selecting the right person before you hit submit, and keep your receipt in case you need to follow up later.
Can't make it to the jail? You can deposit online through the TouchPay web portal instead. The money goes to the same account used for lobby kiosk deposits. You'll need two things: the inmate's control number and the facility ID number. Have both ready before you start - this helps you avoid failed transactions or sending money to the wrong account.
Note: One Bay County Jail resource lists the facility ID for the internet deposit option as 15733, and another Bay County Jail resource lists a VIA Path facility number as 15773. Before you complete an online deposit, confirm which facility ID the TouchPay portal is asking for so your payment posts correctly.
Need a refund check? You can pick it up at the front lobby Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. Bring a valid DMV-issued photo ID. If you're out of town, checks can be mailed upon request. No matter which deposit method you choose, keep your documentation. For money orders, save your receipt and keep purchaser details consistent. For kiosk or online deposits, hold onto your receipt or confirmation - you'll want proof if there's ever a posting issue.
