What You Can (and Can't) Bring Into the Visiting Room at BWCI
BWCI keeps visiting room rules simple: bring your photo ID and car keys, leave everything else secured outside.
You can bring exactly two things into BWCI for a visit: your car keys and your ID. A valid photo ID is required - driver's license or another government-issued ID works fine. Kids under 16 just need any picture ID. Leave everything else in your car or outside the visiting area.
The only reason to bring cash is if you're depositing funds. There's a kiosk in the lobby where you can add money to an inmate's account. Skip the money order - they're not accepted during visits.
You can also buy a debit card at the facility for the vending machines. Use it to grab approved snacks and drinks to share during your visit.
No exchanges during visits: You can't pass anything back and forth - no cards, letters, or other items. If you want to send something, it has to go through the mail.
