Beaver County Mail Rules: What You Can and Can't Send (Photos, Papers, and Prohibited Items)
Mail rules at Beaver County are strict, and small details can get a letter rejected. Use the checklists below to make sure your mail meets their size, photo, paper, and contraband requirements.
Snapshot
- ✓ Address mail to: Inmate’s Name (#####), P.O. Box 391, Beaver, UT 84713
- ✓ Use an envelope no larger than a standard #10 envelope
- ✓ Include your complete name and return address on the envelope (stick-on return address labels are not allowed)
Keep it simple. Each envelope can include up to 2 photos (no larger than 4x6 inches) and up to 3 sheets of standard white paper, written in blue or black ink. Sending a money order or cashier's check? That needs to go in a separate envelope addressed to the attention of "Inmate Accounting."
Photos
- ✓ Maximum of 2 photos per envelope
- ✓ Photos must be 4x6 inches or smaller
Photo content rules: Photos cannot include nudity, violence, sexual acts, or gang-related activity (including hand signs). Polaroid-style photos are not allowed.
Letters are limited to up to 3 sheets of standard white paper. Write in blue or black ink.
Money orders and cashier’s checks have to be mailed separately from regular letters. Send them in a separate envelope made to the attention of “Inmate Accounting.”

A few items people often assume are fine will actually get your mail rejected. Postcards are prohibited. So are loose postage stamps inside the envelope. Anything with adhesive is also banned, including stickers and labels.
Always include a return address. If mail arrives without one, it gets placed in the inmate's property for 30 days. After that, it's either destroyed or must be sent out.
Need something faster than regular mail? Beaver County offers electronic email. The inmate sends the first message from a kiosk in their living area. You'll get an email notice that a message is waiting, and you can view and respond through the Jail ATM website.
