Bring a driver's license or state-issued photo ID. The information on it must match the inmate's Authorized Visitor List exactly. Bedford County Correctional Facility checks that your name, address, date of birth, and gender on the list reflect what's printed on your ID. Even small differences count as a mismatch. Double-check the spelling of your name and how your address appears on the card before you head over.

Heads up: If there are any discrepancies between your ID and the inmate’s approved visitor list, the visit will be turned away.

  1. Arrive ready to check in at the right time. Visitors may check in only five minutes prior to the scheduled visitation time.
  2. Present your identification at check-in. You will need identification (ID or driver’s license) when you check in.

  • Lighters
  • Tobacco products
  • Bags (including purses and diaper bags)
  • Weapons

Bedford County Correctional Facility enforces a strict dress code. Revealing, suggestive, or otherwise inappropriate attire is prohibited. Dressing conservatively helps you avoid delays or being denied entry.
