How to Email Bent County to Request a Visit: A Short Checklist to Get Approved Faster

To request a visit at Bent County Corrections Facility, email your visit request to bccfvisiting@corecivic.com. If you’re visiting from inside Colorado, keep the timing tight: in-state visitors can’t schedule a visit more than 14 days in advance, so pick dates that fall within that window.

Most delays happen because something's missing. Include every required detail the first time, and you'll avoid the back-and-forth that slows everything down.

• ✓ Date of birth for each person requesting the visit
• ✓ The days you’re requesting to visit
• ✓ The incarcerated person’s first and last name and DOC number
• ✓ A callback phone number (so the facility can call you back with an approval or denial)

If you’re an in-state visitor, you can only schedule up to 14 days ahead. When you list “days requested to visit” in your email, make sure every date you propose falls within the next two weeks - otherwise you may need to resend your request with new dates.

Give yourself plenty of lead time. Bent County states that visitor approval takes approximately 45 days on average - don't wait until the week you want to visit to start the process.

Once you've emailed your request, the facility will call you back with an approval or denial. Given the 45-day average timeline, this won't happen overnight. Double-check your phone number before hitting send, and watch for missed calls.
