How to Visit Facility

Hill-Finklea Detention Center does not offer in-person visits. All visitation happens through a video visitation system, so plan accordingly.

You'll need a HomeWAV account before you can visit. Without one, you won't be able to access the facility's video visitation system.

Note: The facility lists lobby kiosk hours as 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday. However, it also states the kiosk is only available during inmate visitation hours, so actual availability may be more limited than those posted windows suggest.

How to Visit Facility

Steps to Follow

  • Set up your HomeWAV account before you try to visit
  • Use the facility’s video visitation system for all visits (in-person visitation is not offered)
  • If you plan to use the lobby kiosk, go during the listed windows: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday
  • Keep in mind the kiosk is also limited to inmate visitation hours
  • Verify kiosk availability before you make the trip

Confirm the lobby kiosk schedule before you make the trip. Posted hours are Monday through Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. But the facility also says the kiosk is only available during inmate visitation hours. That extra restriction can affect whether the kiosk is actually accessible when you show up.

Double-check that HomeWAV is still the required platform for video visits and that the account setup process hasn't changed. Vendors and procedures get updated from time to time, and having the right account is the essential first step for visiting here.

Reminder: Don't assume you can do an in-person visit at Hill-Finklea Detention Center. The facility states visits are video-only. Confirm the current video visitation process and any kiosk access limits directly with the facility before you go.
