How to visit, scheduling, dress code, and visitor requirements
All visitation at Berkeley County's Hill-Finklea Detention Center is video-only through the HomeWAV platform. You'll need a HomeWAV account to schedule and receive visits. If you don't have a personal device or need help, a lobby kiosk is available Monday through Sunday from 8:00–10:00am and 6:00–8:00pm (it also operates during inmate visitation hours). For scheduling questions or immediate help, the Hill-Finklea main line is staffed 24 hours at 843-719-4546. Before visiting, make sure you're on the inmate's approved visiting list and have the required identification. Most facilities require a visitor application and background check before granting approval. Berkeley County Detention uses two different addressing formats—and using the wrong one is a common reason mail gets delayed or returned. Personal mail goes through a Smart Communication PO Box.
