How to Request a Video Visit with a Youth at Berrien County Juvenile Center

To request a Juvenile Center video visit, email bcjcvisits@berriencounty.org.

Include all the information below in your email. This helps staff match you to the youth and schedule the Zoom visit without back-and-forth.

  • Youth’s full name
  • Each visitor’s name and date of birth
  • Your relationship to the youth
  • Visitor home address (include each visitor’s address if more than one person is requesting)
  • Requested visit date
  • Requested visit time slot

Send your request as early as possible. The Juvenile Center asks for at least two business days' notice, though quicker scheduling may work if there's availability.

After the visit is scheduled, you'll get an email with a Zoom link and instructions. Keep an eye on the inbox for the address you used to request the visit.

You'll need a device that runs Zoom with a working camera and microphone - a smartphone, tablet, or computer all work. When the confirmation email arrives, follow the facility's instructions for joining.

Note: Video visits may be recorded. Inappropriate conduct can end the visit early and affect future visiting privileges.
