Bexar County Video Visitation Hours: When You Can (and Can't) Visit
Video visitation in Bexar County follows a set weekly schedule with a few key exceptions—Mondays aren't open for public visits, and Sundays are usually closed. Here's the breakdown of standard hours, holiday exceptions, and what you need to know about scheduling.
Mondays are off-limits for public video visitation. Some posted schedules show a Monday time window, but the official rules are clear: no public visits on Mondays. If Monday is your only option, call (210) 335-8270 or email videovisitation@bexar.org to double-check before making plans.
Tuesday through Friday offers the most flexibility, with hours running 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Trying to fit a visit around work or school? Weekday evenings are usually your best bet.
Saturday hours are 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Slots fill up fast on weekends, so book early if Saturday works best for you.
Sundays are normally closed for public video visitation. The exceptions? Easter Sunday, Mother's Day, and Father's Day - on those three Sundays, visits run 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Closed holidays: Video visitation is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
If you're scheduling as a family member or friend, skip Mondays entirely - no public visits allowed. This catches a lot of people off guard, especially when coordinating travel or childcare.
