Setting Up Your Phone to Receive Calls from Boyd Unit: Registration and Rules
Want to receive calls from someone at Boyd Unit (TDCJ)? You'll need to register your phone number first and follow a few calling rules.
Your phone number must be registered before calls can come through. Head to the Texas Inmate Telephone Friends & Family Enrollment site to sign up - without registration, calls simply won't connect.
You'll need the inmate's TDCJ ID number to complete registration. The system uses this number to link your phone to the right person, so have it handy before you start.
Who Register Rules
- ✓ You must be the registered owner of the telephone number you’re enrolling.
- ✓ You must be at least 18 years old.
- ✓ You must agree to allow the inmate to call the number.
- ✓ The name on your driver license or state ID must match the name shown on the telephone listing or phone bill for the number you’re registering.
Warning: No call forwarding, no three-way calling, and no speakerphone. Breaking these rules can get your number blocked.
