- Check your visitation scheduler profile - Look for your Relationship Request and whether it has been verified for the inmate you’re trying to visit.
- Confirm the inmate is assigned to Boyd Unit and has visitation privileges - TDCJ’s visitation information is updated frequently, especially on visitation days.
- Call Boyd Unit to verify your status - Ask whether staff have verified the relationship request on their end and whether the inmate is currently eligible for visits.
- Confirm the current visitation status before you drive in - Even if you’re verified, you still want the unit to confirm that visitation hasn’t been canceled or limited that day.
Note: Even after your relationship is verified, visits may still be blocked if the inmate has lost visitation privileges. The unit has final say on what can be scheduled.
