Before Your First Visit to Brazoria County Jail: What to Bring and How to Prepare
Your first visit to Brazoria County Jail can go smoothly with the right preparation. Show up with valid ID, dress appropriately, and plan around the registration cutoff. Use the checklist below to avoid getting turned away at the door.
Brazoria County Detention Center is located at 3602 CR 45, Angleton, TX 77515.
Visitation hours are Monday through Sunday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Make sure you're registered at least 15 minutes before the session ends.
ID Checkin
- ✓ Current state-issued picture ID or driver’s license
- ✓ Valid passport
- ✓ Armed forces ID card
- ✓ State Department of Public Safety (DPS) ID card
- ✓ Current paper driver’s license
- Start at Male Visitation - All visitors must first register at Male Visitation before going to the designated visitation area.
- Fill out the visitation form - Complete the visitation form that is provided at the visitation area as part of registration.
- Beat the cutoff - You must be registered 15 minutes before the end of visitation, so do not wait until the last minute.
Dress Code
- ✓ Wear appropriate clothing or you may be denied a visit
- ✓ No tube tops, halter tops, or spaghetti strap tops/dresses
- ✓ No tank tops without a brassiere (women)
- ✓ No clothing displaying gang affiliation
- ✓ No low-cut or see-through tops, or other revealing clothing
- ✓ Shorts, dresses, or skirts must be at the knee
- ✓ Shoes are required for all visitors
The visitation area limits how many people can visit at once: two adults and one child, or one adult and two children. No exceptions.
- ✓ Visitors under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
- ✓ Children must be under supervision at all times
Note: Anyone who has been incarcerated within the last six weeks is not allowed to visit.
