How to Pick Up an Inmate's Property from Brazos County Jail
Picking up property from Brazos County Jail is straightforward once you know the timing. Scheduled releases happen on weekdays during a specific window, and you'll need a valid state-issued ID to collect anything.
Scheduled property releases happen Monday through Friday, 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Plan your pickup within that weekday afternoon/evening window - outside those hours, scheduled releases won't be processed.
Property gets released in two different situations. If the person is still being booked, they can tell the booking officer they want to release their property - but you need to be waiting in the release lobby while they're still in booking for this to work. Once someone is housed in the jail, it becomes a scheduled release instead. That means the inmate requests it ahead of time, and you pick it up during the scheduled window.
For housed inmates, releases don't happen automatically. The inmate must request to schedule the property release at least 24 hours in advance - so same-day pickup isn't possible unless that request was already submitted.

Miss your scheduled pickup? The jail won't hold the appointment. The inmate will need to schedule a new release with a new date and time for you to pick up.
