How to Send Mail to Someone at Brazos County Jail (and why the address matters)
At Brazos County Jail, the right address depends on what you're sending. Regular letters go to Smart Communications in Florida. Legal mail and publications go to the detention center in Bryan, Texas. Use the wrong one, and your mail comes right back.
Brazos County uses two different mailing addresses - pick the wrong one and your mail gets returned. For regular (non-legal) letters, address your envelope to Smart Communications at PO Box 9147, Seminole, FL 33775-9147. Include the inmate's name and SO number. Legal mail and publications work differently: send those directly to Brazos County Detention Center at 1835 Sandy Point Rd, Bryan, TX 77807, again with the inmate's name and SO number on the address.

- ✓ Inmate’s full name (as listed by the jail)
- ✓ Inmate’s SO number (SO#)
Personal letters don't go directly to the detention center. Instead, send non-legal correspondence to Smart Communications at PO Box 9147, Seminole, FL 33775-9147. Always include the inmate's name and SO number. Skip this step or send it to the wrong place, and your letter won't get through.
Legal mail and publications are different - these go directly to the detention center at 1835 Sandy Point Rd, Bryan, TX 77807. Include the inmate's name and SO number so staff can route it correctly. Send legal correspondence anywhere else or leave off the identifying details, and it won't be processed properly.
Heads up: Mail sent to the wrong address gets returned to sender.
