Where to Park When Visiting Bristol County: Dartmouth vs. Ash Street
Parking can make or break your visit. Here's where to park at both Bristol County locations—and the rules that could get your car towed or cut your visit short.
Visiting Dartmouth? Park in the designated Visitor lot - it's on the right as you pass the security booth. Stay in that lot and follow posted signs. Parking anywhere else could mean trouble.
Reminder: Once you’re on site, follow facility rules and staff directions at all times.
The Ash Street facility doesn't have visitor parking on-site. You'll need to find street parking nearby. Pay attention to posted signs - meter rules and time limits apply.
Towing warning: If you park in violation of the facility’s parking rules, your vehicle can be towed.
Any vehicle on Bristol County Sheriff's Office property is subject to search. If you're driving in, assume your car may be searched and plan accordingly.
Arrive early? You can wait up to 30 minutes in your car or in the Security Reception Area. Just follow facility rules and staff directions while you wait. Loitering before or after your visit isn't allowed. Exceptions exist for elderly or disabled visitors, but check in with staff either way.
