How to Visit Facility

Every visit at Bryan County Jail must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance, including in-house (on-site) visits. All visits are video-only and no-contact. You won't be sitting across from anyone face-to-face or speaking through a window. Also worth knowing: visits are recorded, so keep that in mind during your conversation. If you'd rather visit from home, remote (off-site) video visitation is listed as available daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Visit limits are per inmate. Each inmate can receive two visits per day, with each visit lasting 20 minutes. There's a 10-minute cool-down period between visits. On the cost side, inmates get one free in-house visit every 30 days. Any additional in-house visits cost $10 each.

No internet access? The jail offers limited Saturday on-site kiosk visitation in the detention center lobby. You'll still need to schedule at least 24 hours in advance.

How to Visit Facility

Steps to Follow

  • Schedule your visit at least 24 hours in advance.
  • If you are planning an in-house (on-site) visit, schedule it ahead of time (walk-ins are not the standard process).
  • If you do not have internet access, ask about the limited Saturday on-site kiosk option in the detention center lobby and schedule it 24 hours ahead.
  • Expect video-only, no-contact visitation.
  • Keep the visit limits in mind: two visits per day per inmate, 20 minutes each, with a 10-minute cool-down period between visits.
  • Assume your visit will be recorded.
  • If you are visiting in-house, plan around the fee policy: one free in-house visit every 30 days, then $10 per additional in-house visit.
  • If you are visiting remotely (off-site), use the posted availability window of 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily when choosing a time.

Before you make the trip, confirm exactly how the jail wants you to schedule (online versus the on-site kiosk). The firm rule is 24 hours' advance notice, but it's smart to ask whether certain days have earlier cut-off times, especially for the limited Saturday kiosk slots.

Double-check in-house pricing before you book. The posted policy is one free in-house visit every 30 days and $10 for each additional visit. Confirm that this is still current and that it applies the same way for every visitor and inmate.

Since all visits are video-only and recorded, ask how those recordings are handled. If privacy matters to you, find out whether there are restrictions on what can be discussed and how long recordings are kept.

Remote (off-site) video visitation is listed as available daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Confirm whether those hours change for holidays, maintenance, or other closures so you don't schedule a visit that can't be completed.
