Manage a scheduled visit at Burrus County Transitional Center: add visitors or cancel

Already have a visit scheduled at Burrus County Transitional Center through the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC)? Start by pulling up that appointment in the GDC visitation system. From there, you can add another visitor to your existing slot or cancel if plans have changed.

1. Open the GDC “Add Visitor” option - Use the GDC “Add Visitor” link to locate your already-scheduled visitation appointment.
2. Find your scheduled visit - Follow the prompts to pull up the visit you want to modify.
3. Add the additional approved visitor - Use the on-screen prompts to add another approved visitor to that scheduled visit.
4. Confirm the updated appointment - Make sure the system shows the added visitor as part of the same scheduled visit.

2. Locate your scheduled visitation - Follow the prompts to find the visit you previously scheduled.
3. Cancel the appointment - Complete the on-screen steps to cancel that scheduled visit.
4. Finish and confirm - Submit the cancellation so the system processes it.

Timing matters. The GDC system has cutoff times for weekend and state-holiday visits, and the form requires you to be 18 or older. If you need to add someone or cancel close to the deadline, handle it early - you don't want to get locked out by the cutoff.

• ✓ State holidays: the cutoff time to request visitation is 5:00 PM three days before the holiday.
