Which Pod Is Your Loved One In? Butler County Prison's Pod-by-Pod Visitation Schedule
Visitation at Butler County Prison depends on which housing pod your loved one is in. Find the right pod below so you show up on the correct day and time.
Butler County Prison runs visitation by housing pod. Each pod has its own days and time windows, so you can't just pick any day - you need to know the pod first. Here's the breakdown: A-Pod and G-Pod visit on Thursdays (6:00–9:30 pm) and Saturdays (1:00–3:45 pm and 6:00–9:30 pm). B-Pod has Thursday evenings (6:00–9:30 pm) plus Sundays (1:00–3:45 pm and 6:00–9:30 pm). C-Pod, D-Pod, and DCU-Pod share Wednesday evenings (6:00–9:30 pm) and Sundays (1:00–3:45 pm and 6:00–9:30 pm). E-Pod and F-Pod are Tuesdays (6:00–9:30 pm) and Saturdays (1:00–3:45 pm and 6:00–9:30 pm). Restricted Housing (RHU) and Medical follow a different pattern entirely - Mondays and Fridays from 6:00–9:30 pm. Once you know the pod (or whether they're in RHU/Medical), you can pick the right day and avoid a wasted trip.
A-Pod visitation times are Thursday 6:00–9:30 pm, plus Saturday 1:00–3:45 pm and 6:00–9:30 pm.
B-Pod visitation times are Thursday 6:00–9:30 pm, plus Sunday 1:00–3:45 pm and 6:00–9:30 pm.
C-Pod visitation times are Wednesday 6:00–9:30 pm, plus Sunday 1:00–3:45 pm and 6:00–9:30 pm.
D-Pod visitation times are Wednesday 6:00–9:30 pm, plus Sunday 1:00–3:45 pm and 6:00–9:30 pm.
E-Pod visitation times are Tuesday 6:00–9:30 pm, plus Saturday 1:00–3:45 pm and 6:00–9:30 pm.
F-Pod visitation times are Tuesday 6:00–9:30 pm, plus Saturday 1:00–3:45 pm and 6:00–9:30 pm.
G-Pod visitation times are Thursday 6:00–9:30 pm, plus Saturday 1:00–3:45 pm and 6:00–9:30 pm.
DCU-Pod visitation times are Wednesday 6:00–9:30 pm, plus Sunday 1:00–3:45 pm and 6:00–9:30 pm.
Restricted Housing (RHU) visitation is Monday and Friday from 6:00–9:30 pm. Medical follows the same schedule: Monday and Friday from 6:00–9:30 pm. These units don't follow the A–G pod rotation. If your loved one is in RHU or Medical, skip the weekend and midweek schedules - stick to the Monday/Friday window.
Note: Inmates on handcuff restriction or in protective custody have a much shorter visitation window: 5:15–5:45 pm on their housing pod’s regular visitation days.
Confirm and Schedule
- ✓ Make sure you’re on the inmate’s visitation list (each inmate can list up to 5 adult visitor names, with addresses and telephone numbers). If you’re not on that list, no visit will be scheduled.
- ✓ Bring photo identification and be ready to verify who you are.
- ✓ When you arrive, present yourself to the lobby officer and tell the officer which inmate you’re there to see.
At Butler County Prison, the inmate schedules the visit. Your loved one contacts you with a time, then notifies the Pod Correction Officer so the slot is open. Before you make the trip, confirm the pod and scheduled time directly with your loved one. A quick double-check ensures you're going on the right day and within the right time window.
The most common way visits get missed? Showing up on the wrong pod's day or outside the time window. If your loved one is on handcuff restriction or in protective custody, the risk is higher - that visit window is only 30 minutes (5:15–5:45 pm) on the pod's regular visitation day. Not sure which pod they're in? Or whether they've been moved to RHU or Medical? Confirm before you go. A quick check can save you a long drive and a lot of frustration.
