How to Send Mail to Someone at Cache County Jail (Checklist)
Keep your mail simple and follow the size and content rules—that's the best way to make sure it actually gets delivered at Cache County Jail.
Address your envelope to the jail and include the incarcerated person’s full name. Use this format: Cache County Jail <Inmate’s Full Name> 1225 W. 200 N., Suite 100 Logan, UT 84321 On the outside of the envelope, include your full name and complete return address. Mail without a complete return address can be rejected or returned.
Note: Cache County Jail does not forward mail. If the person is no longer incarcerated there, your mail will be returned to you.
For regular mail, keep it letter-sized: all incoming mail must be no larger than 8.5 x 11 inches, and it must be on regular paper (no card stock). If you’re using the jail’s electronic option, you can send it as an e-message instead.
Anything larger or thicker than a standard letter may be treated as a "package." The jail's guideline: if it looks like more than 100 pages (roughly 1/2 inch thick), it counts. Packages sent from private residences, businesses, or PO boxes get returned to sender.

Want to send a book? It must ship directly from a bookstore, publisher, or retail outlet. Don't write in it, highlight passages, or add anything - books with markings can be rejected. Hardcover books aren't accepted.
One thing to know before ordering: if the person is released or transferred, the book becomes part of the Cache County Jail library.
If your letter comes back, the most common reasons are that the person is no longer at Cache County Jail (they don't forward mail) or your item was treated as a package. Packages from private residences, businesses, or PO boxes are returned.
