Cache County Jail Video Visits: How to Schedule, Visit Hours, and the 3-Business-Day Waiting Period

Cache County Jail doesn't offer in-person visits. All visits happen by video, whether you come to the jail and use an on-site kiosk or connect remotely from home.

  1. Plan for the 24-hour rule - on-site video visits have to be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
  2. Go through NCIC - schedule the on-site visit through www.ncic.com (walk-in scheduling isn’t part of the process here).
  3. Create an account or sign in - if you don’t already have an NCIC login, you’ll need to register before you can book time.
  4. Select Cache County Jail and choose a time - find Cache County Jail in the system, then pick an available date/time that fits the jail’s visiting hours.

Heads up: The most common scheduling mistakes? Trying to book less than 24 hours out, showing up at the jail expecting to schedule on-site, or not finishing your NCIC account setup before picking a time slot.

Just booked? There's a waiting period. Inmates can't receive visits until at least 3 business days after arriving at the jail - so even if you're ready to schedule, you may need to wait.

  • Mark the booking date on your calendar and count three business days before you try to schedule
  • Use the time to gather what you’ll need for the visit (IDs for everyone coming, and an NCIC account)
  • If you’re unsure whether they’re eligible yet, call to confirm before you spend time trying to book

Anyone over 16 needs to show a photo ID before the visit can start.

If you’re 16–18, a school ID card (or a similar type of ID) can be used.

Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
