What to Do If You Haven't Heard Back About Your Louisiana Jailer Exam Application (checklist)
Applied for the Louisiana Jailer exam but haven't heard back? Work through the checks below so you don't miss your testing instructions.
First, confirm you applied during an official posting period. Applications submitted before or after the specified window get rejected, no exceptions. OSE typically posts each regional exam application for a specific 10-day period in the month before the exam date. If you submitted outside that window, that's likely why you haven't received acceptance instructions.
Reminder: Veteran's points and ADA accommodation requests must be received by the application deadline. Submit them to OSERegionalTesting@la.gov. For ADA accommodations, required documentation must arrive no later than two weeks before your scheduled test date.
Once your application is accepted, OSE sends testing instructions by email from OSERegionalTesting@la.gov. Search your inbox for that exact sender. Also check spam, junk, and any filtered tabs (like Promotions or Updates) where automated emails tend to end up.
