Fill out the NCDAC deposit slip carefully - every field needs to be completed and legible. Use blue or black ink only. Anything else can delay processing.
Write the offender's full name on the deposit form and double-check the OID number before sealing the envelope. The OID links your money order to the correct trust account - one wrong digit means delays and headaches to sort out.
Envelope Contents
- ✓ Include only: the detached deposit form + the money order
- ✓ Do not include: staples, paper clips, stamps, cash, letters, photos, or any other items
Keep the amount within the limit: each money order can be no more than $300.00. It also must be issued in U.S. dollars.
Mail the completed money order and deposit form to: TouchPay Holdings, LLC PO Box 174 Houston, TX 77001-0174
NCDAC only accepts trust-fund deposits from people listed as approved visitors for that offender. If you're not on the approved list, the vendor will reject the deposit - even if everything else looks perfect. This catches a lot of people off guard, so confirm your status before mailing anything.
One advantage of the mail option: there are no fees for money order deposits to NCDAC trust accounts.
- Wait at least one week after you mail it - the vendor asks you not to reach out sooner than that.
- Email for help if it still hasn’t posted - send your question to moneyorders@viapath.com (no sooner than one week after mailing).
Know what to expect if something goes wrong. TouchPay is not responsible for money orders lost in the mail. If they receive your money order but can't process it, they'll mail it back to the sender address on your deposit slip. Fill out every field clearly - it's your backup plan.
