Getting Approved for the Visiting List at Camille Graham: Forms, Limits, and R&E Notes
Getting approved to visit starts with the inmate adding you to their list. At Camille Graham, that means a specific SCDC form, a hard cap on approved visitors, and extra restrictions if your loved one is still in Reception & Evaluation (R&E).
The inmate kicks off the visiting-list process at Camille Graham. They're given a
There’s also an online option for many adults. Effective June 1, 2025, adults age 18 and older who have a valid South Carolina driver’s license can register for visitation online. Some relationships may still need verification, and applications for minor children still have to go through the paper process with the right documentation.
The approved visiting list has limits. Each inmate can have a maximum of 15 approved visitors, and requests go through SCDC Form 19-127. If the list is full, the inmate needs to remove someone before adding anyone new.
R&E changes what visiting looks like - especially after your loved one has been there a while. After 30 days in Reception & Evaluation, only close family can visit at R&E: parents (including stepparents), grandparents, siblings, grandchildren, spouse, and children (including stepchildren). If you fall outside those relationships, you'll likely need to wait until the inmate transfers out of R&E.
R&E contact window: If you’re already on the approved visiting list and the inmate has been at R&E 30+ days, call Camille R&E at 803-896-1296 (or Kirkland R&E at 803-896-2000) between 8:00 am and noon on Mondays and Tuesdays only.
- Ask the inmate to add you using SCDC Form 19-127 - This is the standard way prospective visitors get the “Request for Visiting Privileges” form, since the inmate sends it out.
- If you qualify, register online instead - Effective June 1, 2025, adults 18+ with a valid South Carolina driver’s license can register for visitation online.
- If your loved one is in R&E, check whether the 30-day rule applies - After 30 days in R&E, only certain close relatives are eligible to visit there, and you’ll want to coordinate through the R&E contact window if you’re already approved.
